We had the Wirral Egg run a couple of weeks ago, tun by the Wirral branch, I met Roger and Jim at Charnock Richard services and we rode on the ARoads and under the tunnel to meet up with Tim, the Wirral massive and other M Battalion member Peter on his lovely Yellow Superlight. West Mids branch were also in attendance, again we thought we had beaten the mass but got stuck into first mile traffic. We lost Peter at the first roundabout, he went straight to the Swinging Arm, Wirral branch meet, the rest of us did the run which was slow at times but a few nice stretches to cool the engines and give the clutch hand a rest.
After the run we all then went to the Arm for a quick drink and burger then home.
A great start to the riding year, some great images of other branch rides, let’s hope it keeps up.
8 of us were in attendance at Keith’s funeral, a very sad day but with some nice memories of Keith, the club was mentioned quite a bit as it was a massive part of his life. He will be sorely missed by a lot of people, me included, we are thinking of a fitting tribute for a Keith, something he would have approved of so may prove difficult to organise.
